| Edith Linke takes maturita' exam in Turin |
(ANSA) - Turin, June 18 - An 86-year-old student on Wednesday picked the changes brought by SMS messaging as her high-school graduation topic. Edith Linke thanked staff at Turin's Giulio trade and tourism school before she sat the Italian equivalent of France's baccalaureate, the maturita' exam.''Every lesson was a delight,'' said Linke, who already has two diplomas picked up in her youth in Germany. Giulio head teacher Francesco De Sanctis said Edith's pick was ''apparently easy but requires complex reflection on the condition of today's youth''. Linke is believed to be the oldest of the half million high-school students taking the maturita' this year. The SMS essay looked like being the most popular topic, the education ministry said. |
